GIDEON KILUMA MUSIMBA was born in Eastern part of Kenya, just at the border of one of the largest animal sanctuary in the world TSAVO NATIONAL PARK which covers over 21000sqkm( www.tsavonationalpark.org). These experiences formed the base of his love and knowledge of Kenya’s flora and fauna.

Gentle and humorous, wise and knowledgeable, Gideon is one of the best guides in the country. After years as naturalist and junior guide, he became one of the very first to attain the silver level.

On game drives and game walks, he inspires confidence and transfers his contagious love for nature as a whole: not only the mammal, but birds, plants and trees. Gideon is a natural educator and he has spent some time to train local guides and learning about different parts of the country. Despite being quiet and unassuming, Gideon has a charisma that makes him a natural leader.

His extreme love for the bush exudes in his personality.

He created interest of flora and fauna since childhood. After his formal education, he joined Kenya Utalii College where he studied Fundamentals of Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. He worked with one of the largest tour operator in Kenya for 20 years before moving to his own related business, LITTLE FIVE TOURS LTD.

Being a member of KPSGA Silver level (www.safariguides.org), he focuses more on high quality of education of the nature by photographing, learning and observing the animal behavior.

Through experience, Gideon can offer more than expected by the holiday maker, ready to help and give guidance on where and how to organize the holiday in Kenya and Tanzania based on their wish list and budget.

According to Gideon, one can make safari in Kenya any time of the year because the country’s 8% land mass is conserved for wildlife. The protected areas embraced 55 various types of ecosystems which gives visitors wide selection according to their wish.

The future is bright as far as he is concerned – so much more to learn, discover and share with his guests in the wild corners of Africa.

Other than English, Gideon also speaks Kamba and Swahili and is able to name animals and birds in Finish.
